First, old thing I was taught in the military, there is always room for improvement, that is why I did not give 5 stars. However, what is more important than star quality is that 'Yes, I would recommend this product.' I originally went with a security company to install IP cameras and the NVR and by the time I was done, my out of pocket due to 3 year contract was well over $3K. The system was for a 4 channel NRV alone was somewhere like $1,800, another brand name but I found on Campark - Focus on Cameras for only about $600. I scrapped that contract and told them NO. So do not go through Security company's if you are looking for a home surveillance system. This system from Reolink is perfect and perfect price. Would you need some experience with running lines? Maybe depending on if you need to cut the wires that come with it. I have the knowledge and equipment. However, DIY, yes, you can do this done, research on the Internet, it is really easy. To the system, it works as expected. Camera quality is great. Nigh vision is ok (read above, always room for improvement) but would I go with someone else, no. Interface is easy, some settings are above my head (not a audio/visual expert), but you don't need that to plug and play. About the company. 1 camera out of 7 must of had a bad seal or something. After a storm, water or moisture got in there. I got the info from Campark - Focus on Cameras, and wrote them about this issue and that everything on the camera is now blurry. Outstanding Customer Service and response time. All based on email and they got back to me within hours, asked for some information which I sent them (proof of purchase from Campark - Focus on Cameras, screen shot of the lens showing the water, and I added a snapshot of the output). Once I sent it, the turn around was great and another camera is on its way. Again, for a home surveillance system, affordable, good quality, great to outstanding customer service, ability to review remotely, Yes, this was a good purchase and I would recommend the product.

This is my first purchase of a camera based security system. After extensive research this system was the easiest to setup and install I even made some cables myself because the lengths supplied was not needed. I also like the face that I can extend this system with both PoE and Wifi cameras. the only item I would like to see is a better mounting system to include the wires.

It was a great system to have for a while. I love the picture quality. But unfortunately I will not be purchasing it again. For one the app doesn’t show motion detection on its videos. Also if you want any help from support for the system good luck. If you try and contact them from email they never return it. And when you finally do get tech-support on the phone you’re on the phone with them for two hours and it cost you over 150 bucks.

The only thing I questioned at the time when I bought this was how well it would work in cold conditions. I live in Wis. So I waited to see before I would review. I can tell you that last night my Temps were at -13 ° Fahrenheit. Still worked. It's been great so far.

Set-up was simple, website has more details if needed. I was up and running (viewing cameras) in a few minutes after installing the wiring. The mobile and desktop apps. were easy to install and connect to the system. Video quality day and night is very good. I had an issue getting e-mail alerts set up, e-mailed tech. support, the response was prompt, and the resolution was accurate. Field of view is good, nothing to complain about but it could be a little wider.I'm a little disappointed with the motion detection, but I haven't found a motion detection scheme I like anywhere in this price range. The biggest issue I have with it is the range (how far away it will detect motion). You can easily set up detection zones, and sensitivity, my issue with just about all systems is that when you set the sensitivity so you don't get false detects, you lose range.I really like the POE feature of this system, only 1 wire to run! Yay!!Overall.. Not perfect (4-stars) but I don't think there is any such thing as 'perfect'. Probably better if you spend more $.. but the more $$ I spend the higher my expectations get.

I have had this for a a little over a year now and here is what I have found with this product. Number 1, support, I reached out via email for a playback issue, and support contacted me right back the next day with a fix, just a firmware update, told me exactly where to get the fix, how to install the fix and followed up after all that to make sure I was working and satisficed. Big bonus for the support, not many companies do that any more. So, the good stuff, the unit is quiet, it is POE for the cameras when they are plugged in directly and the video quality is really good, good enough I can *almost* read tags from 30 yards away on passing cars. The cameras stream well to the app, the playback and record features are easy to use. The app does tend to be flaky when running on an Campark - Focus on Cameras Fire tablet, but that has a lot to do with the crappy OS on the Fire tablet, on my phone they are great, I just like a bigger screen when working on it. The newest firmware fixed the Adobe Flash issue on Web browser viewing, it uses HTML5 now and works in all the browsers I have tried, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, etc... I included some images from a couple of the cameras daytime and nighttime. The bad... the clock apparently can't use NTP, so if you want the correct time and date, you have to jump into the NVR on the APP to sync your phone time with it, not a big deal, but I wasn't aware of it so my recording time was off after the recent DST change. The windows client isn't great, no zoom functionality on the Windows client which is a hassle, especially when you have the 5MP, but no zoom. Zoom works fine on the Android app. I get motion triggers when the wind blows or a cloud passes by in view, so I had to disable the alerts,. it was alerting all the time. As you can see from the night time shots, if you have it to close to a wall, the IR blinds the camera, not sure what can be done about that, except to keep it away, but I have some tight sightlines I need to get, so I have to deal with that. These things will attract spiders like crazy, dunno why, but I am constantly having to sweep the cobwebs off them.Overall, I am pretty impressed with the whole setup, it is easy, decent quality, affordable, and good support. I would recommend for a home user to keep an eye on stuff. For the price, it is probably the best I have used.
